Program
Information
The educational program
is designed around the student's individual academic,
emotional, and behavioral needs, attempting to lessen
the factors that have impeded the student's academic and
social success outside of the non-public school environment.
During an extensive intake, including a school counselor,
principal, parents, and other educational team members,
the student's goals in the program will be mapped out
for the school year. This team will utilize informational
resources such as an existing IEP, psychological evaluations,
school and familial reports, past non-public school records
and interviews to determine the best possible classroom
placement. As the student grows and evolves within the
non-public school program, changes will be made to meet
their needs and the requirements of the IEP. |

When services such as speech and language
are required per the IEP, individual therapy is available
on site. A full time school counselor will be available per
IEP requirements and as needed. Prevocational and vocational
training are provided in the non-public school setting and
with a network of community resources.
Each student undergoes comprehensive and
ongoing academic and social-emotional re-evaluation on a regular
basis and as needed. Each IEP meeting will consist of reviewing
a student's non-public school status. This will involve the
student's parents or care-providers to provide accurate and
thorough assessments.
Each teacher and staff member is
trained to build a structured learning environment utilizing
behavior modification and positive reinforcement schedules
to manage counterproductive behaviors.
