Behavior
Management
PCS
#1 utilizes a comprehensive program of non-aversive techniques
to address a student's problematic behavior. Our school promotes
positive reinforcement to instill positive replacement behaviors.
This includes a gradual educational and therapeutic process
of behavior transformation involving systematic instruction
in more effective ways of meeting his or her needs. This method
of behavior modification and management is a positive approach
to solving a student's problematic behavior without the use
of aversive procedures. The goal is to identify the communicative
intent underlying the behavior and examining appropriate positive
interventions. Parents are always clearly informed of any
and all behavioral interventions to be implemented with their
student.
