PCS is a schoold that also specializes in children with intellectual disabilities. The autistic children program is designed around the student's individual academic, emotional, and behavioral needs, attempting to lessen the factors that have impeded the student's academic and social success outside of the non-public school environment.
During an extensive intake, including a school counselor, principal, parents, and other educational team members, the student's goals in the program will be mapped out for the school year. This team will utilize informational resources such as an existing IEP, psychological evaluations, school and familial reports, past non-public school records and interviews to determine the best possible classroom placement. As the student grows and evolves within the non-public school program, changes will be made to meet their needs and the requirements of the IEP.
